Shelton Intermediate School (SIS) will commemorate Veterans Day by inviting veterans related to SIS students to a breakfast, presentation and roundtable discussion on Monday, Nov. 11.
The day will begin with a breakfast, held in the veterans’ honor, to be followed by a program for students and guests in the auditorium.
This program will be written and presented by SIS enrichment students and include original works of poetry, readings, and artwork.
Students create artwork project
This year, SIS students will again install a large commemorative community artwork project in the school’s main lobby, honoring veterans of all wars.
A 1 p.m., a group of local veterans will conduct a roundtable discussion for students in the auditorium.
SIS officials said students at the school “welcome the opportunity meet you, to honor you, to remember all the veterans of this nation who came before us, and support all those who serve today.
