Lots of Halloween fun for Shelton kids at trick-or-trunk

Hundreds of youngsters showed off their costumes and loaded up on candy during a trick-or-trunk event on Halloween evening at Shelton Intermediate School.

Many people parked their vehicles, with car trunks they had decorated with various Halloween themes, and handed out sweets to children while dressed in costume themselves.

Visitors got to see “Amazing Dave” Miller pull a rabbit (his wife Maria) out of a large hat during the event. This is the fourth year the Shelton couple has entertained children at the trick-or-trunk.

There also was deejay music, fire trucks, an ambulance, and a tent with give-aways from the Shelton School Readiness Council and Shelton Library System.

Some occasional light drizzle didn’t put a damper on the youngsters’ spirits, with heavier rain holding off long enough for plenty of ghoulish fun.

The event was sponsored by the Shelton Youth Service Bureau.
