The chapter has again teamed up with the Dunkin’ Donuts on Howe Avenue for the fifth annual “DAR and Donuts” before and after the 10:30 a.m. Veterans Day ceremony. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided to veterans and their families.

The initiative is being coordinated by Juliana Lavitola, local DAR Veterans Services Committee Chairman, and Mark Dymerski, franchise owner of the Dunkin’ Donuts in downtown Shelton.

“Over the years, it has become a tradition, and everyone looks forward to getting together and enjoying a cup of coffee and a Munchkin,” according to DAR officials.
