Shelton man dies in weekend accident

A 30-year-old man from Shelton was killed in a weekend accident after the motorcycle he was driving and a CRV collided, according to police.

Multiple 9-1-1 calls came in at 6:42 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, of an accident on Leavenworth Road (Route 110) near the White Hills Shopping Center.

The victim, Adam Grabowski, was ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway after it crashed into a Honda CRV driven by Leelo Linask, 44, of Monroe. Police said the two were traveling in the same direction.

Grabowski was pronounced dead at the scene.


Was Emmet O’Brien Tech graduate

Grabowski was a graduate of Emmet O’Brien Technical School, and was working as a commercial truck driver. For more details of funeral services, read his obituary here.

The Shelton Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call 203-924-1544.

    I liked Adam. He was hard working and very likeable. Adam helped take care of my lawn and we broke bread together.

    In my eyes he was a teddy bear of a man, and I mean that in a solid way. My heart and prayers are with Adam and his family. I’m deeply saddened by what happened to Adam.
