‘Tis the season for splendor in Shelton

A Christmas tree has gone up in the mayor’s office in Shelton City Hall, featuring homemade angel ornaments made by a former municipal employee and topped by a big metallic silver star.

The tree was donated to the city by Jones Family Farms of Shelton, one of the largest sellers of Christmas trees in the state.

Two other Christmas trees on public display in Shelton are on the Huntington Green (the lighting ceremony is this Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 p.m.) and at the White Hills Fire House.
