Bank hold up at Wells Fargo on Shelton's Coram Avenue

Police cars with activated sirens line up on Coram Avenue near the downtown Wells Fargo branch on Tuesday morning. Yellow police tape can be seen blocking off the bank property.

Two or three men reportedly held up the Wells Fargo Bank at 320 Coram Ave. around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

The suspects are described as black men — one dressed all in black, one wearing a gray hoodie. They fled on foot, according to police radio.

One witness told police there were three suspects who ran toward Cornell Street.

“We have no comment at this time. It just occurred not too long ago,” according to police dispatch. Officers are still investigating on scene.

The  branch is in downtown Shelton, between Center Street and City Hall on Coram Avenue.
