Remember: It's December, so parking restrictions are in effect

From December to March, parking from midnight to 6 a.m. is restricted to one side of city streets in Shelton.

In odd-numbered months, residents must park on the odd side of the street from midnight to 6 a.m. In even-numbered months, residents must park on the even side of the street.

In the event of a “snow emergency,” which would be announced by the city, there shall be no on-street parking in sections of the city where access to off-street parking is available, including driveways and parking lots, unless otherwise exempted by the police department.

The fine for violating winter parking rules is $25 for the first violation and $50 for repeat violations.
