Events at the branch — Spanish, stories and more

Storytime for 3s & 4s — Thursdays, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, 11 a.m. Three and four year-olds hear stories just for them.

 

First Friday Book Discussion — Friday, Jan. 3, 1 p.m. An Invisible Thread by Laura Schroff and Alex Tresniowski; copies available for this self-led group, new members welcome.

 

Spanish with Sandra — Fridays, Jan. 3 and 10, 2:45 p.m. Immersion Spanish for those 3-5 and their parents in this program using songs, games, story time and other activities. Taught by Sandra Alvarado, a Spanish teacher from Shelton; registration required and space limited.

 

Toddler Movement Program — Wednesdays, Jan. 8 and 15, 11 a.m. Children 2-4 and caregivers march, dance and play musical instruments with songs and action poems; register for four-week session; waitlist will be made available.

 

As I See It — Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1 p.m. Join the Friends of the Shelton Libraries to watch a movie followed by discussion. Dessert; adults only.

 

Both libraries close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and reopen for regular hours Thursday, Jan. 2.
