Police: Shelton bank robber got away with ‘undetermined amount of money’

The Shelton Police Department released the following statement following the bank robbery this morning at the Webster Bank branch on Bridgeport Avenue, corner of Nells Rock Road:

On Dec. 30, 2013 at approximately 9:55 a.m., Shelton police responded to 375 Bridgeport Ave., Webster Bank, for a reported bank robbery. Police and detectives are currently on scene investigating the incident.

The initial investigation by police revealed that a male went into the bank and passed a note to a teller. The male then left with an undermined amount of money. Nobody reported any injuries.
