Update on how to help Shelton fire victims

Echo Hose Hook and Ladder on Coram Avenue will be closing down their collection center tomorrow, Jan. 12, at the firehouse. But there are still ways to help.

“Thank you to everyone who has donated and volunteered so far,” Echo Hose Hook and Ladder posted on their Facebook page. “Wish list items may be viewed/picked up at the fire house. Stop down to check them out. At this time we are currently furnishing 20 apartments.”

Furniture donations and supplies may be dropped off at Conti Storage, West Canal Street, Door 7, Shelton, from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon.

Beds, dressers, couches, chairs, lamps, coffee tables, kitchen table and chairs, as well as household appliances, are needed.

For further information on furniture donations call TEAM Inc. at 203-736-5420, ext. 202.
