How much snow did Shelton get vs. other towns?

It appears 6 to 7 inches of snow fell in Shelton, based on measurements taken Wednesday morning off lower Bridgeport Avenue, near the Trumbull line.

Amounts may have been slightly higher but the snow has been blown around by the wind. It was a light, fluffy snow.

Highest amounts in New Canaan, Darien

In western Connecticut, coastal areas — especially near the New York state border — appear to have received the most snow. The northwestern part of the state — the Litchfield Hills — received the least amount.

Parts of eastern Connecticut also picked up considerable amounts as the storm lingered while heading east, toward Cape Cod.
