Snow squalls possible late Saturday in Shelton

The area is expected to see some snow today, beginning in the late afternoon and going into the early evening.

About 1 to 2 inches of snow are possible in Shelton, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Snow squalls are possible that could degrade visibility.

The NWS expects the snow to start by 4 p.m. in Shelton, with temperatures being at about the freezing mark at the time. Chance of precipitation is 70%. The snow could continue until about 8 p.m.

There also will be winds of 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Temperatures should drop into the teens tonight, with a low of 13. It should warm up on Sunday, with a high of 36, then get colder again at the beginning of the week with daytime highs in Shelton in the teens and nighttime lows in the single digits.
