Overnight into morning: Shelton police search for missing man

Last night at about 11:30 p.m., the Shelton Police Department responded to the Shelton Lakes Healthcare Center for a report of a male who fled into the woods.

William Luciano, 47, who has a medical condition and has been a patient at the facility at 5 Lake Road, was last seen by staff members of Shelton Lakes fleeing into an adjacent wooded area on late Tuesday night.

 

Police, fire and EMS personnel

Members of the police, fire, and EMS departments are currently conducting a search for Luciano. Family members of Luciano are assisting first responders with the search.

The State Police also have responded with dog teams to assist with the search.

 

Description of missing man

Luciano is described as a white male approximately 5-foot, 1-inch tall, 145 pounds, with light brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, dark color sweatpants, and rubberized slippers.

Those with information about the whereabouts of Luciano are asked to call the Shelton Police Department at 203-924-1544.
