Emergency workers are searching for William Luciano, 47, who was a patient at Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes, 5 Lake Road, Shelton.
Luciano is described as a white male approximately 5-feet, 1-inch tall, weighing 145 pounds, with light brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, dark color sweatpants, and rubberized slippers.
Entered the woods
Luciano was last seen going into the woods at the facility, which is off Shelton Avenue (Route 108), at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
The center is located in the general vicinity of the high school and intermediate school, but on the other side of Shelton Avenue.
Staff reported that Luciano, who has a medical condition, entered a wooded area. Much of the area around the rehabilitation center is heavily forested.
