At noon, “Behind The News” with John Kovach and Josh Fisher will feature the stories behind the closing of Lewisboro Elementary School and the abrupt departure of the school superintendent there.
Lewisboro Ledger Editor Matt Spillane and reporter Reece Alverez discuss this complicated and sometimes emotional story.
Then Weston Forum Assistant Editor Patty Gay will give us insight into the mysterious machinations of the Cobbs Mill Inn.
Kovach and Fisher will then turn their attention to the top Hersam Acorn stories of the week and what is going on in local media. Tune in at SheltonHerald.com (look for Hersam Acorn Radio on the upper right of the Home page).
‘Arts & Leisure’
At 1 p.m., “Radio Arts & Leisure” with Sally Sanders and Rob Coulter will feature a wide variety of topics. They will talk to our own Reel Dad, film reviewer Mark Schumann, about movies — in particular, good football movies to rent this Super Bowl weekend.
They have an interview with the man behind this year’s Jumpfest (ski jumping) in Salisbury and all the fun stuff going on up there. Sanders will have her weekend High Five list and some valuable etiquette tips from Catherine Michaels.
Then our radio food reporter will have a tasty interview with local pizza chef Bruno DiFabio, who is about to appear on the TV show “Chopped.” Steve Coulter will tell you everything that’s going on with live music this weekend in the area. Tune in at SheltonHerald.com (look for Hersam Acorn Radio on the upper right of the Home page).
Encore presentations of both programs can be heard at 5 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
