Grants are available to nonprofits serving the Valley

The Valley Community Foundation (VCF) is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations that serve its five-town region covering Shelton, Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Oxford.

Grant amounts, application deadlines and eligibility requirements vary by grant process, with details and applications available online at www.valleyfoundation.org/grants.

The VCF distributes hundreds of thousands of grant dollars each year.

Grant-seekers are encouraged to attend an informational orientation session about the types of competitive grants available on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Derby Public Library, 313 Elizabeth St., Derby.
