Many different scholarships
The foundation’s Greater Bridgeport Area (GBA) Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial support to students in pursuit of a post-high school education.
The program offers multiple awards from the general GBA Scholarship Fund in addition to more than 30 separate scholarship funds within the program, giving students the opportunity to apply for up to four different scholarships.
Last year, the foundation and its donors awarded more than 300 scholarships totaling more than $740,000 to students throughout Fairfield County.
Details and information on the eligibility criteria, as well as the online application, are available at www.fccfoundation.org. Students should also contact their high school guidance counselors to receive information on the scholarships and application process.
Also scholarships specific to schools
In addition to scholarships offered through the GBA Scholarship Program, the foundation and its donors offer scholarship opportunities to students at specific high schools throughout Fairfield County.
Information on these other scholarships will be available in February through the guidance office at each of these designated high schools.
The foundation has awarded more than $168 million in grants to nonprofits in Fairfield County and beyond. For more information, visit www.fccfoundation.org.
