Yale offers rowing program for public on the Housatonic

Yale Community Rowing’s (YCR) 2014 Summer Rowing Registration information is online for its 16th summer rowing program at the boathouse in Derby. Sign-ups will go live online on Feb. 14.

YCR offers various learn to row programs for ages 10-15 and adults, as well as more advanced middle school and high school programs.

 

Self-esteem and teamwork

Through the sport of rowing, YCR seeks to build self-esteem and teamwork creating a comfortable learning environment where children from throughout the community can enjoy a team-bonding experience together on the water.

All programs are run at the Gilder Boathouse on Roosevelt Drive, Derby, on the shore of the Housatonic River.
