The Shelton public schools will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 13 due to the impending snowstorm.
School Supt. Freeman Burr announced the closing at the end of a school meeting held tonight.
However, it is uncertain when the closing will be posted on the school system’s official website due to current problems with the server, Burr told people at the meeting.
Burr said it is hoped that the schools can reopen on Friday, perhaps with a delayed opening.
Schools in Shelton will be closed for a Presidents Day break for the first two days of next week — Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 17 and 18.
