About 7.5 inches of snow has fallen in the city so far, combined with some sleet, freezing rain, and rain.
Forecasters expect it to start snowing again this evening, with temperatures perhaps dropping a few more degrees. Another 3 to 5 inches of snow and sleet could fall during the course of the night, according to the most recent NWS forecast.

Most of the main roads are passable, although they have some snow, slush and ice on them. Many state and city plows are working on the roads, and traffic is light but noticeably busier than it was this morning.
Route 8 is in drivable condition, but the exit and entrance ramps still have quite a bit of snow.
Piles of snow in the roads, many from private contractors clearing driveways, is an issue.
