As of 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, the snow has stopped in southern Shelton and there is no rain falling at this time.

It appears the area has received about two inches of snow so far from the fast-moving coastal storm.

The storm was forecast to bring from 2 to 6 inches of snow, followed by rain in the late afternoon.

The heaviest snow fell in the mid to late morning, causing problems with the morning commute. It was especially slippery snow that led to traction problems for many motorists on the roads.

Most roads are snow covered, with a slushy-snowy mix causing slippery conditions. It appears an inch or two inches of snow has fallen, some in a light, pellet-like form.

Some vehicles are having trouble gaining traction from stop signs and stop lights due to the slick roads, and other cars are struggling to climb uphill inclines.
