Development council to help women business owners

The Women’s Business Development Council holds special sessions for women in business. The WBDC’s Shelton office is 2 Enterprise Drive, Suite 303.

 

Basics of Intellectual Property — Free course to teach the basics about intellectual property rights including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. It will take place Wednesday, Feb. 26, 6-8 p.m. at the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce, 10 Progress Drive, Shelton. Business Counseling — Meet with a business counselor from the development council to discuss obtaining capital, marketing, legal issues, finance, business plans and other topics. QuickBooks for Entrepreneurs — Certified QuickBooks advisor from the council are available to meet with entrepreneurs at their place of business to provide insights and guidance with setting up a chart of accounts, bank reconciliations, inventory control, payroll issues, and more.
