Get rid of old gear at fishing swap meet March 8

Fishing-PoleAnyone with fishing gear they might not need anymore — or looking for a bargain — can pull up a table at the Nutmeg TU tag sale and swap meet Saturday, March 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Port 5 Naval Veterans, 69 Brewster St., Bridgeport.

The event is open to the public free of charge.

Nutmeg is not taking money for tables, nor is Nutmeg accepting a commission for sales, organizer Chuck MacMath said.

“It’s just a way of getting together and getting rid of stuff,” MacMath said.

Reserve a spot

Those who set up March 8 may sell their items, swap them, or even give them away. To reserve a table, email Chuck MacMath at [email protected] by March 1.

Vendors will also set up at Port 5.

There will be fly-tying demonstrations and, weather permitting, casting instruction.

Food can be purchased from Port 5 during the tag sale/swap meet.

Raffles will be held.
