Shelton venues offer weekly Lenten fish fry dinners on Fridays

Fish fry dinners will offered on Friday nights in Shelton by a local church and parochial school in March and early April.

 

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church will offer Lenten fish fry dinners on Fridays from 5:30-7:30 p.m., through April 11.

Open to the public, the church is at 188 Rocky Rest Road.

Menu is baked or fried fish, choice of potato, pasta, homemade coleslaw, dessert and beverage. No reservations needed. Dine in or take out.

Cost is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors (60 and older), and $5 for children 12 and under. Proceeds will support the church’s ministries and missions. Get details at 203-929-3537 or www.umcshelton.org.

 

St. Joseph School and Church

St. Joseph School in Shelton will host Lenten fish fry dinners on Fridays from 4:30-7:30 p.m., through April 11.

Open to the public, they will take place in the lower level hall of St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Place (just off Coram Avenue).

A variety of food is offered and no reservations are needed. Dine in or take out. Proceeds will support the parochial school.
