In an effort to spread diaper need awareness throughout the state, Connecticut Partnership for Children’s Valley Diaper Bank is hosting two events that are all about diapers.

On Saturday, April 5, in conjunction with Quinnipiac University’s “Big Event,” volunteers will be posted outside the Diaper Bank’s office at 135 Main Street, Seymour for the 3rd Annual “Diaper Drive-By.”

Members of the community are invited to donate diapers and wipes at this location, by driving up and dropping off their donation. All donors will receive a free gift.

Diaper Dash

On Saturday, May 31, CTPFC will host its first Diaper Dash 5K & Family Fun Run/Walk, which will start and end at Seymour High School.

This event, planned to be an annual happening, will take place on a certified course and all participants will be timed.

Registration is $25 through March 31, and $30 afterwards, through race day. Children ages 4 and younger, are free in strollers.

The Diaper Dash 5K will also feature a Children’s Fun Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. for all registered participants 12 and younger.

Additionally, the event will feature “Stuff-A-Truck” with diapers, so bring a package of diapers to show your support. The first 500 Diaper Dash registrants will receive a dry-wick T-shirt. All registrants will receive a bag of goodies.
