Shelton police identify teen shot Saturday night

THURSDAY UPDATE: On Thursday, March 20, Kristjan Ndoj died from his injuries in the hospital.

 

UPDATE 8:53 A.M. MONDAY: Police have identified the teen shot over the weekend as 15-year-old Kristjan Ndoj. Police said he was shot in the head and the leg, and  is still listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Since the incident, fellow students at Shelton High School have been using the #PrayforKristjan hashtag on Twitter to offer prayers and support for the teen.

Police say Kristjan was at the Agawam Trail home with another teen when he was shot. The teens were going to meet a friend at the home and meet other people, police said.

It is still unclear if the shooting was random, or if Kristjan was targeted.

 

UPDATE 7:30 P.M. SUNDAY:  The 15-year-old male critically injured in a Saturday night shooting in the city’s Pine Rock section is a student at Shelton High School.

Shelton police officials have been in contact with Shelton High administrators about the situation, according to a release by the Shelton Police Department.

SheltonPoliceDeptPatchAs of about 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, police said  the victim remains listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries at Bridgeport Hospital.

The victim does not live at the Agawam Trail residence where the incident took place, according to police.

Shelton police detectives and the State Police Major Crime Squad now have finished processing the scene of the incident. It remains an ongoing investigation by detectives.

Shelton police investigate shooting; Teen in critical condition

A 15-year-old Shelton male is in the hospital and listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries after a shooting on Saturday night.

On Saturday at about 8:45 p.m., the Shelton police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a shooting on Agawam Trail, a road in the city’s Pine Rock neighborhood.

Shelton police and Echo Hose EMS responded to the scene and located a male victim lying in a driveway with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

As of Sunday morning, Shelton police detectives and the State Police Major Crime Squad are still on scene conducting an investigation into the shooting, according to Shelton police officials.

Agawam Trail is a road near lower Long Hill Avenue, nor far from Route 110 (River Road). It is also close to the Far Mill River.
