Radio station begins collection to help catch shooter of Kristjan Ndoj

Chaz and AJ, morning show hosts on the radio station WPLR-FM, have set up a collection to help catch whoever shot and killed Shelton teenager Kristjan Ndoj.

“We are asking each donation to be a minimum of $1,000, and Chaz is putting in the fist $1,000,” according to what was written on wplr.com.

Call 203-882-9757 or 877-R-NICKEL to make a donation.

Ndoj, a 15-year-old sophomore at Shelton High School, was shot in a driveway in the city’s Pine Rock neighborhood on March 15. He died from his injuries in the hospital five days later.

‘The horribly tragic loss’

“Today, the Ndoj family suffered the horribly tragic loss with the passing of their beloved Kristjan,” attorney Michael S. Boynton, a spokesman for the family, said on March 2o, the day the teen succumbed to his injuries.

“A bright boy, and naturally gifted athlete, who seemed wise beyond his years, [he] will be remembered by all who knew him for the sparkle in his bright green eyes,” Boynton said while speaking at a Thursday afternoon press conference  at Shelton High School.

Ndoj is survived by a mother, father and an older brother, who is a senior at Shelton High.
