Jennifer Piciw gets honors in statewide science competition

Shelton-WEB-Student-NewsJennifer Piciw of Shelton received second honors for her science project at the Connecticut Science and Engineering Fair. Her project, called “The Effect of pH on Nutrient Absorption,” was also an Institute of Food Technologist, Nutmeg Selection.

Jennifer is a member of the Class of 2016 at Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden.

CSEF is an annual statewide science and engineering fair that provides a forum for middle and high school students to showcase their scientific talents.

Held at Quinnipiac University, the event helps attract young people to careers in science and engineering while developing skills essential to critical thinking. More than 12,000 students representing 127 schools competed for 700 coveted spaces at the fair.
