Early spring surprise: A slushy, snowy commute in Shelton on Monday

The snow appears to have stopped in Shelton as of 9:45 a.m. or so Monday, but enough frozen wet stuff fell to add a little adventure to the morning commute. (Monday morning photos by Brad Durrell)

Shelton received from a coating to a half inch of snow — certainly enough to require some clearing off of the car for those who park outdoors.

Plows are out, most road surfaces are covered with slush, and the ground surfaces are covered with a thin layer of snow.

The system that brought a lot of rain over the weekend ended with a little snow, with cold temperatures reaching just far enough south to impact Shelton.
