Housatonic Council hosts Cub Scout and Webelos camping

A scout prepares to let go an arrow, with the help of an instructor, on the archery range at Camp Strang in Goshen.

The Housatonic Council, Boy Scouts of America, invites all Cub and Webelos scouts to participate in summer camping at Camp Strang in Goshen.

Cub Resident Camp is for boys entering second or third grades. Webelos Camp is for boys entering fourth or fifth grades. Boys do not have to be registered scouts in order to attend either program. The camps offer swimming, boating, fishing, star-gazing, BB-gun range, archery, meals and a campfire.

A typical day’s program includes polar bear swim, breakfast, morning activities, lunch, siesta, afternoon activities, free swim, dinner, evening program campfire and lights out.
