Shelton resident wants road’s scenic qualities preserved

White Hills resident Pam DiMartino wants East Village Road designated as a scenic road.

DiMartino recently told the Board of Aldermen it’s time “to protect the character” of the neighborhood, noting many older trees have been taken down and stonewalls are threatened by road improvements.

She said the city should appreciate the vistas, farms and slopes and preserve them for future generations because “little by little” they are disappearing.
