An interactive, entertaining and educational live animal program for people of all ages will be presented Tuesday, April 15 at 7 p.m. at the state-run at the Kellogg Environmental Center, 500 Hawthorne Ave., Derby.
The goal of the “Jungle Jamboree” program is to increase an individual’s appreciation and respect for the natural world and the amazing diversity of life on earth by showing people exotic and unusual animals. Interesting facts about the animals and related conservation efforts will be shared.
Come meet FiFi la Fume the Skunk, Huxley the African Pygmy Hedgehog, Tucker the Three Banded Armadillo, Spirit the Western Hognose Snake, and other animals.
Presented by local Audubon Society
The program will be presented by the Naugatuck Valley Audubon Society, in cooperation with the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Light refreshments will be served after the program. A donation of $5 per adult is requested. Children under 12 are free.
