This Bridgeport Avenue resident does what most every else in Shelton who parks their car outside had to on Wednesday morning — he scrapes off a combination of ice and snow from his car windows.

Heavy rains on Tuesday were followed by some snow in parts of Connecticut, and most everyone — whether it snowed in your town or not — found their vehicle’s windows covered with frozen precipitation.

Hopefully you hadn’t jumped the gun and already put the ice scraper away, with the arrival of spring.

Cold temps continue into Thursday

It feels a bit like winter out there today. As of 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, it’s 32 degrees in Shelton, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

It will remain sunny this afternoon, but only get into the low 40s, the NWS said. Strong winds will make it feel colder.

Shelton-IceScrapeCar2The low tonight will be in the high 20s, with frost likely in the coldest parts of town.
