Shelton girls lacrosse defeats Sheehan

The Shelton High girls lacrosse team defeated Sheehan of Wallingford, 12-9, on Thursday night.
Shelton jumped on Sheehan early, getting four first-half goals from junior Kayla Pjatak and two each from junior Julia Kopchik and sophomore center Jillian Ortoli to take a 9-2 lead at the break.
Pjatak finished with four goals and two assists. Kopchik and Orazietti collected three goals each.
Senior Missy Breton added two assists and Ortoli won 12-of-22 faceoffs to go along with two goals.
