Run to help babies get diapers at May 31 event in Seymour

In an effort to spread diaper need awareness throughout the state, Connecticut Partnership For Children’s (CPFC) Valley Diaper Bank is hosting a walk and run later this month.

On Saturday, May 31, CPFC will host the Diaper Dash 5K & Family Fun Run/Walk, which will start and end at Seymour High School.

This event will take place on a certified course, and all participants will be timed.

Registration is $30. Children ages 4 and younger are free, in strollers. Children who are registering can use the sponsor form on the website to help “raise” their registration fee.

Forming teams is encouraged

Participants are encouraged to form teams and register in groups of five or more (although this is not required for participation). Name your team, wear the same color hat, be creative.

Visit www.thediaperdash5k.com to view the race map, review registration incentives and to register.

Diaper Dash registrants will receive a T-shirt while supplies last. All registrants will receive a bag of goodies.

Also is fun run and walk for children

The Diaper Dash 5K will also feature a Children’s Fun Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. for all registered participants ages 12 and younger. Additionally, the event will feature “Stuff-A-Truck” with diapers, so bring a package of diapers to show your support.
