Gas prices are dipping slightly as many people in Shelton elsewhere prepare to travel for the Memorial Day weekend.
According to a press release from the local AAA auto club, the declining prices are mostly due to rising supplies.
An average national price of a gallon of gas is expected to hover around the $3.63 mark by Memorial Day.
In Connecticut, however, the gas story isn’t as appealing. While average prices may be on the downswing in the Nutmeg State, they continue to be substantially higher than the national average.
New Jersey has the cheapest gas in the region, while Connecticut has the highest.
