Above, Therese Curry and her son Richie, 7, of Shelton purchase raffle tickets at the St. Joseph Carnival and Food Fest in Shelton.
They were among the hundreds who attended the St. Joseph School fund-raising event on the parish grounds off Coram Avenue.
The five-day festival offered rides, games, food and a raffle. It ended on Saturday, May 24.
Carnival-goers could eat everything from eggplant subs to hamburgers, and porketta sandwiches to grilled kielbasa-and-sauerkraut. The menu included many popular Italian specialties.
Proceeds benefited St. Joseph Catholic School, which offers classes for pre-kindergarten to eighth grade students.
