Milling, paving work planned for Merritt Parkway near Route 8

Nighttime paving work will take place on the Merritt Parkway in the area near the Route 8 intersection during the next few weeks.

Shelton-MerrittParkwaySignThe project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.44 miles of the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) northbound in Trumbull and Stratford, and 2.37 miles of the Merritt Parkway southbound in Stratford and Trumbull.

The work should occur from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. from May 27 through the morning of Friday, June 20.

The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed from 8 p.m.-5 a.m. on Sunday, June 8 to the morning of Friday, June 20.

 

Lane closures expected from Exit 50-54

Motorists can expect lane closures on the Merritt from Exit 50 (Route 127, White Plains Road) in Trumbull, to Exit 54 (Milford Parkway Connector) in Milford.

Traffic control personnel and signage will be used to guide drivers through the work zone. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

The schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions or other factors.
