State to pave Route 108 section in Shelton during the coming days

A state milling and resurfacing project will take place on a part of Route 108 in Shelton’s Huntington section and in Trumbull for the next week-and-a-half or so.

The work will take place on almost two miles of Route 108 in the two towns from Friday, June 6 to Wednesday, June 18.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 108 from just north of Unity Road in Trumbull to Bayberry Lane in Shelton (slightly past Isinglass Road).

Work hours are 7 a.m.-4 p.m.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7 a.m.-4 p.m.

Modifications or extensions to the schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.

The resurfacing — or paving — segment of this project is anticipated to occur from June 13 to June 18.
