“We, the undersigned neighbors and concerned Shelton residents, are opposed to the proposed zone change and proposed marina at 500 River Road and 41 Fanny St., Shelton, CT as submitted by Water’s Edge of Shelton LLC,” states the petition.

A Fanny Street resident and Victory Street resident started the petition, which they said was signed by every resident of Fanny Street except a homeowner whose property is part of the project as well as by many residents from nearby roads.

The petition organizers said it contained 110 signatures and was presented to the Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) at the June 10 meeting.

The developer is seeking to create a Planned Development District on a 3.1-acre parcel along the Housatonic River. The P&Z could make a decision on the application as early as its July 8 meeting.
