Toddler Movement Program — Wednesdays, June 25 and July 2, 11 a.m. Kids 2-4 years get to march, dance and play musical instruments. Songs and action poems included in this weekly program geared to young children who are ready to participate in group activities, and a caregiver.
As I See It — Wednesday, June 25, 1 p.m. Join the Friends of the Shelton Libraries to watch a movie, followed by discussion and dessert; adults only.
Stories with Danielle — Thursdays, June 26 and July 3, 11 a.m. Three and four year-olds hear stories.
Bubble Lady — Thursday, June 26, 1 p.m. Kick off the summer with a special program in the community center gym.
“Book a Trip” — Friday, June 27, 10 a.m. Teen summer reading kicks off for kids entering grades 7-12. Passport stamps earned by reading earn club benefits, including candy bars and Plumb Bucks plus weekly drawings for prizes. Extra tickets earned by reading specially-marked books.
Baby Rhyme Time — Tuesdays, July 1 and 8, 10:30 a.m. Infants and non walkers discover nursery rhymes and action songs with their caregivers; followed by open play time.
KSRC Registration — “Have Books, Will Travel” is the theme this summer as kids 3 years to grade 6 read and weigh their books (starting June 30). Individual markers will represent virtual travel through space and time, special opportunities to double your weights. Weekly prize drawings for checking out library materials by or for a child.
On Friday, July 4, both libraries are closed for the holiday, and will reopen on July 7. Both libraries are closed on Saturdays for the summer, from now until the Saturday after Labor Day.
