Shelton police release photos of armed robbery suspect at store; Seek public's help

The Shelton Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect in an apparent armed robbery on early Saturday morning at the Cumberland Farms on River Road.

On Saturday, June 22 at about 2 a.m., Shelton police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Cumberland Farms at 819 River Road (Route 110).

An employee told police that a male wearing a black hoodie and black ski mask entered the store and demanded money. The male suspect also allegedly displayed a handgun.

The male then left the store with an undetermined amount of money, according to police. The employee was not injured.

Detectives are currently investigating the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Shelton Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 203-924-1544.
