Stratford convenience store robbery similar to Shelton incident

Stratford police report that a male with a gun entered the Alltown Convenience Store at 7294 Main St., Stratford, at about 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 22.

The man allegedly approached the front counter clerk, displayed a handgun, and left the store with an undetermined amount of money.

There were no injuries.

The Cumberland Farms on River Road in Shelton experienced a similar robbery prior to the Alltown incident, according to Stratford Capt. Paul DosSantos, who said he believes the two events are connected. The Cumberland Farms in Shelton is close to the Stratford border.
