Shelton Farmers Market is open for the season

The market on Canal Street is open Saturdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and soon will open on Wednesday afternoons as well.

Market maker Guy Beardsley said the market is a place to buy fresh and nutritious produce, meet farmers and socialize with neighbors. The market also hosts a booth by a community group each week, with the League of Women Voters to be represented on June 28.
