The 2013 film “Gravity” starring Sandra Bullock will be shown at the Stratford Library on Monday, July 14 at noon.
The screening, free and open to the public, is part of the Stratford Library’s “Monday Matinees” series that presents recent, popular films twice monthly during the summer.
Alfonso Cuarón won an Academy Award for Best Director for the film, which also stars George Clooney and Ed Harris. Bullock was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role.
“Gravity,” praised for its state-of-the-arts special effects, tells the story of an astronaut. The film is rated PG-13 and runs 91 minutes.
Movies in the “Monday Matinees” series are shown uncut on widescreen in the Stratford Library’s air-conditioned Lovell Room. The library is at 2203 Main St., Stratford.
