Note: Due to possible bad weather on Thursday and Friday in Connecticut, some of these scheduled fireworks displays may be changed. Checking city or town websites is strongly suggested.

 

Thursday, July 3

(Shelton/Derby fireworks have been rescheduled to Saturday, July 5 due to expected bad weather on July 3.)

ALL OTHER FIREWORKS DISPLAYS PREVIOUSLY LISTED FOR THIS NIGHT ALSO HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED. SOME HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED FOR NIGHTS OTHER THAN WHAT WAS THE PLANNED RAIN DATE.

Saturday, July 5

Shelton/Derby, “Dueling Fireworks” between Shelton and Derby along the banks of the Housatoinc River, at dusk. Shelton Riverwalk concert by Glamour Girls at 7, while on the Derby side of the river, Kathy Thompson Band performs at 7. Have been rescheduled from July 3 due to expected bad weather (call Shelton Parks & Rec recorded cancellation line at 203-331-4120 for weather updates).

Bristol, Muzzy Field, 9:30.

Bristol, Lake Compounce, 10. (Rescheduled from July 4 due to expected bad weather.)

Danbury, Danbury Fair Mall at dusk; danburyfairmall.com. (Rescheduled from July 3 due to expected bad weather.)

Darien, Darien High School, gates open at 6, fireworks 9ish. Food trucks and local restaurants on site and 10% of proceeds go to Town of Darien Firefighters’ Foundation. Parking pass required in advance; visit darienfirefighter.org/fireworks.

Fairfield, Jennings or Penfield Beach. (Rescheduled from July 4 due to expected bad weather.)

Greenwich, Binney Park (Sound Beach Community Band) and Greenwich Point Park (deejay), at dusk,

Middletown, Harbor Park, concert/fireworks, 6:30-10. (Rescheduled from July 3 due to expected bad weather.)

New Britain, Stanley Quarter Park, 9:15. (Rescheduled from July 4 due to expected bad weather.)

New Canaan, Waveny Park, festvities at 5, fireworks around 9:15. Resident passes $30/car; non-residents $60/car. All passes may be purchased at the Rec Dept.’s office in Waveny House or the first selectman’s office at the police station through Thursday, July 3. In case of inclement weather, call 203-594-3610 or visit newcanaan.info. (Rescheduled from July 4 due to expected bad weather.)

New Haven, East Rock Park, celebration at 4, fireworks at 9. (Rescheduled from July 4 due to expected bad weather.)

New Milford, Fort Hill/Still Meadow, 9:30, rain date July 6.

Norwalk, Calf Pasture Beach, East Norwalk, festivities at 5:30. (Rescheduled from July 3 due to expected bad weather.)

Orange, Orange Fairgrounds, 525 Orange Center Road; Beatles concert with the British Invasion Tribute Band, 6:30, fireworks show with patriotic music at dusk. Suggested parking donation of $5 to benefit the Orange Little League. Rain date July 6.

Stamford, off Cummings Park. (Rescheduled from July 3 due to expected bad weather.)

Stratford, Short Beach Park, festivities at 7, fireworks at 9:30. (Rescheduled from July 3 due to expected bad weather.)

West Haven, Bradley Point Park. (Rescheduled from July 3 due to expected bad weather.)

Weston, Weston Middle School, gates open at 4:30, $5/person (under 4 free). Food available for purchase 5-9. Westport Community Band, magician performs at 6:15, Ticket to Ride (Beatles tribute band) plays at 7:30 and after fireworks (about 10). Fireworks start at 9:20. Wilton, Wilton High School Athletic Complex. (Rescheduled from July 4 due to expected bad weather.)

 

Sunday, July 6
