People should expect a rainy Fourth of July in Shelton, partly due to the effects of Hurricane Arthur to the region’s south and the east, but Saturday and Sunday are looking nothing short of beautiful.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), today should bring showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain, with up to 2 inches possible.
Chance of precipitation is 100%, the NWS said. After about 7 p.m. tonight, it should begin to clear up.
Friday’s high should be near 75 degrees, with an overnight low in the high 50s.
On Saturday, it should be sunny with a high around 79. And on Sunday, the sun will be abundant again with a high near 84. The humidity should be noticeable lower on Saturday and Sunday.
