The Huntington Fire Department is holding a fund-raising event to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation on Saturday, July 26 at 1 p.m.

The fundraiser is set for Hirschbeck’s Bar and Grill, 882 Bridgeport Ave., near Stop & Shop. It is the department’s third annual event, which will include raffle prizes. Organizers hope to beat their $10,000 goal.

Head-shaving should begin at about 2 o’clock.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding research to find cures for childhood cancers. At St. Baldrick’s events, participants shave their heads to honor cancer patients.
