Louis A. Accardi, Jr., age 49, of Shelton, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Bridgeport on February 28, 1965, he was the son of Janis Sokol Accardi of Shelton and the late Louis A. Accardi, Sr.
Louis was a heavy equipment operator for Cherry Hill Construction in North Branford for many years. He was a great NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt.
In addition to his mother, survivors include sisters, Deborah Clancy and her husband Craig of Seymour, Sherry Croll and her husband Daniel of Stratford, Christine Brushie of Shelton, Priscilla McCall and her husband John Sr. of Ansonia, Hope Balzano and her husband Anthony of Shelton, uncles and aunts, Alexander Accardi of FL, Robert Accardi of NY, John Accardi of FL, Martha Accardi of Trumbull, Florence Nessing and her husband John of Meriden and Wendy Accardi of FL, nieces and nephews, Theresa, Brian and Megan Clancy, Joseph, Sean and Christopher Maxfield, Brittany and Benjamin Croll, Tanner and Taylor Brushie, John Jr. and Chelsi McCall, and Anthony, Samantha, Taylor and Michael Balzano as well as many cousins and close friends.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m.
