Concussion care clinic opens in Shelton

HeadZone Concussion recently opened in Shelton.

A for-profit business, it also has a nonprofit entiry called ConcussionCORPS to promote concussion education. Both are owned and run by medical directors Dr. Karen Laugel, Dr. Nick Mongillo and program director Becky Snow.

The target audience is for youth, their families and surrounding support systems.

The HeadZone clinic is for anyone looking for concussion education, post-injury care, vestibular therapy, supervised conditioning and return-to-play programs, management of school accommodations, neurocognitive testing, medical care of post-concussion syndrome, educational seminars, ImPACT and King Devick baseline screening for teams and individuals.

HeadZone Concussion Care is at 2 Ivy Brook Road, Suite 213, Shelton.
